Butt initiated the discussion by stating that Chelsea’s goalkeeping situation is a major issue, calling Sanchez a liability who cannot adapt to the possession-based style Alonso is expected to implement. Scholes agreed wholeheartedly, adding that Sanchez lacks the ability to build from the back, which will be crucial under Alonso’s system.
