2026 UTME Mop-Up Exam Scheduled for June 13 by JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the mop-up examination for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026. This session is specifically for candidates who completed biometric verification for the main UTME but were unable to take the test due to various reasons.

In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed the date and outlined the categories of candidates eligible for the exercise. These include individuals whose results were previously withdrawn due to examination infractions, those who faced technical glitches at their test centers, and candidates who could not be biometrically verified despite being present.

The main 2026 UTME was conducted from April 23 to April 29, 2026. Reports indicated that some centers experienced technical difficulties, preventing a number of students from completing their exams. JAMB emphasized that the mop-up test represents the final phase of the annual UTME process and serves as a last chance to resolve all outstanding issues for affected candidates.

Affected candidates are advised to print their Examination Notification Slips starting Saturday, June 6, 2026. The board urged them to familiarize themselves with their assigned centers and make all necessary preparations, stressing that no further opportunities will be given after this mop-up exercise to sit for the 2026 UTME.
