Shatta Wale Reportedly Freed Burna Boy From Ghana Jail After Weed Arrest, Claims Captan

Ghanaian musician Captan has made a startling revelation about Nigerian superstar Burna Boy’s past legal troubles in Ghana. According to Captan, his former boss Shatta Wale orchestrated the release of Burna Boy from a Ghanaian prison after the singer was taken into custody for cannabis possession.

Speaking during a recent podcast, Captan disclosed that Shatta Wale dispatched him and a group of individuals to secure Burna Boy’s freedom from police detention. He further alleged that Shatta Wale’s camp once provided shelter for Burna Boy when his life was under threat from dangerous assailants.

Captan explained, ‘I personally went to bail Burna Boy out of jail in Ghana when he was picked up for smoking weed. Shatta Wale gave the order, and we went to get him released.’ He added that they also helped resolve a separate case where Burna Boy needed protection. ‘There was a time we housed him because people were hunting him. We assisted in settling that matter,’ Captan said.

The relationship between Captan and Burna Boy has since soured, following the Nigerian artist’s falling out with Shatta Wale. However, Captan expressed willingness to mend ties if Burna Boy initiates an apology. ‘If he comes back and asks for forgiveness, both Shatta and I are open to reconciliation,’ he stated.
