Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has finally broken his silence regarding his ongoing conflict with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy. In a candid interview on The Beat 99.9 FM, he claimed that the singer’s public attacks stemmed from his close friendship with fellow musician Davido.
Reflecting on his rise to prominence, Cubana Chief Priest emphasized that his success came through years of apprenticeship and relentless dedication. He noted that wealth and fame inevitably attract negativity and jealousy. “When you achieve success, you see how people change toward you,” he stated.
He recounted the moment Burna Boy allegedly targeted him on social media, using his large following to spread false claims about his finances. “He came after my wealth, trying to discredit everything I’ve built. It hurt deeply, and it all happened because of my bond with Davido,” he explained.
The entrepreneur also highlighted Davido’s unwavering support for his ventures, from nightclubs to restaurants. “David has always been there. He opened every one of my establishments and constantly shows up to back me. He’s even investing in clubs in Lagos now,” Cubana Chief Priest added. He also revealed that he is making music to prove his versatility.
