Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has officially submitted the final tally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ogun East senatorial district to President Bola Tinubu.
Having secured the party’s ticket for the forthcoming senatorial contest, Abiodun thanked divine providence, the president, party hierarchy, stakeholders, and constituents for their unwavering support and faith in his candidacy.
He praised President Tinubu’s dedication to inclusive democratic practices, highlighting the adoption of direct primaries as a mechanism that empowers APC members to vote freely, thereby bolstering a sense of ownership and engagement within the party.
The governor described the smooth conduct of the primary as a testament to the unity, resilience, and democratic ethos that characterize the APC in Ogun State.
Abiodun pledged to remain devoted to public service, emphasizing that his senatorial ambition is rooted in a commitment to foster progress, peace, inclusivity, and economic growth both within Ogun and across Nigeria.
He also acknowledged the relentless encouragement and solidarity of party members, leaders, and supporters, who he said share the collective goal of building a stronger Ogun State.
