
The Nationwide League One (NLO) has taken disciplinary action against Moraks FC, suspending a club official and fining the team 500,000 naira following an alleged assault on match officials. The incident occurred during a match against Sunsel FC in Sapele.
According to the league body, the behavior violated the core principles of sportsmanship and fair play that grassroots football strives to uphold. In addition to the fine, Moraks FC player Adisa Oliver has been handed an indefinite suspension from all football activities until the case involving the official is resolved.
The club is required to pay the 500,000 naira penalty before their next league fixture. The NLO confirmed that the sanctions are effective immediately from the date of notification, with further updates expected as the disciplinary process continues.
