Tolu Arokodare’s stint at Wolverhampton Wanderers appears to be approaching an early conclusion after the club’s relegation from the Premier League. The Nigerian striker, who arrived at Molineux last summer from Belgian side KRC Genk for a fee of €24 million, managed only three goals in 28 top-flight appearances.
According to talkSPORT, the 25-year-old is expected to depart on loan during the upcoming transfer window. Wolves officials believe finding a permanent buyer will be challenging given his modest goal return in England’s top division. The forward’s current market value is estimated at around €18 million, a significant drop from the amount paid just a year ago.
Arokodare’s lack of impact was a contributing factor to Wolves’ struggles, and the club now faces the task of reshaping their squad for life in the Championship. A temporary move could allow him to regain form and potentially attract suitors, but his long-term future at Molineux remains highly uncertain.
