Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, have safely arrived in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, as they prepare for their 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Guinea. The delegation traveled aboard Asky Airlines, departing from Lagos with a brief layover in Lomé, Togo, before touching down at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport.

The squad and their coaching staff are now settled at the Seen Hotel in Abidjan, where they will rest and finalize their preparations for the upcoming fixture. Guinea will host the first leg of this two-legged tie at a temporary home ground in Abidjan this Saturday. The return leg is scheduled for next Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Nigeria.

The aggregate winner of this showdown will secure a spot in the main tournament, which will be held in Morocco later this year. The Flamingos are determined to advance and make a strong impression on the world stage.
