Alan Shearer, the legendary former Newcastle United striker, has highlighted three standout performers who played a crucial role in Arsenal’s Premier League title win this season. The Gunners secured the 2025/26 championship on Tuesday after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth.
Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, Shearer emphasized the consistency and excellence of the team. He singled out goalkeeper David Raya, midfielder Declan Rice, and defender Gabriel Magalhães as the most influential players throughout the campaign.
“They’ve been the best team and the most consistent,” Shearer said. “I think the three outstanding players for Arsenal have been David Raya, Gabriel Magalhães, and Declan Rice. I just think those three, for me, have been the outstanding players week after week after week, delivering performance after performance when it got tough.”
The trio provided a solid foundation for Arsenal’s success, with Raya’s shot-stopping, Rice’s midfield dominance, and Gabriel’s defensive solidity proving vital in tight matches. Their contributions were instrumental in helping Arsenal reclaim the title after a long drought.
