Enugu NDC Unveils Screening Schedule and Appeals Panel

The Enugu State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially disclosed the timetable for the screening of aspirants vying for various elective positions within the state. This announcement was made in a statement released on Friday, signed by the party’s State Chairman, Dr. Johnpaul Anih, Secretary Dr. Sebastine Okafor, and Publicity Secretary Emmanuel Ugwueze.

According to the details, the screening exercise is scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Dragon Recreation Centre in Enugu. The committee tasked with conducting the screening will be chaired by Professor I.G. Nwangwu, with Barrister Peace Chidi Ugwu serving as secretary. Other members of the committee include Chinachi Nnabuko and Emma Onovo.

In addition, the party has constituted an Appeal Committee to handle any grievances arising from the screening process. This committee is chaired by Professor Chinedu Aguba, with Mrs. Chioma Agbo as secretary. Other members are Clinton Ogbonna and Reverend Austin Nnaji. Appeals are to be submitted on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Aspirants have been advised to come prepared with photocopies and original copies of their birth certificates, four recent passport photographs, their voter cards, curriculum vitae, and NDC membership cards. The party urged all participants to adhere strictly to these requirements to ensure a smooth screening process.
