The Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally endorsed 37 candidates to represent the party in the upcoming State House of Assembly elections. This decision follows a rigorous selection process held on May 22, 2026, aimed at fostering unity within the party.
According to a statement released by Bright Yima Antyo, the party’s Publicity Secretary in Benue, the candidates emerged as consensus flag-bearers after extensive consultations across various state constituencies. The party emphasized its dedication to internal democracy and cohesion as it gears up for the elections.
The full list of affirmed candidates includes: Ayo Jeremiah Terungwa representing Kwande East, Igbaakaa Aondoakura James for Konshisha I, Girgi Daniel Terlumun for Tiev, John Anthony Ikwulono for Agatu, and Ekirigwe Moses Adams for Oju I, among others. Other notable names include Oragande Iveren Geoffrey for Katsina-Ala East, Utsan Ngusha Fredrick for Gwer East, and Adugh Mtindiga for Katsina-Ala West.
