Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has declared that if only members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) cast their votes in the 2027 presidential election, President Bola Tinubu would win a second term without difficulty. He made this statement on Saturday while observing the large voter turnout during the APC presidential primary in Orlu East Local Government Area.
Uzodinma emphasized that Tinubu’s achievements in office have earned him another term. He pointed to the party’s electronic membership registration and validation process as evidence of grassroots mobilization. In one ward in Orlu East, he noted, over 35,000 people were present, demonstrating the party’s deep reach.
According to the governor, the APC’s registration exercise has ensured inclusivity at the community level, which is now reflected in Nigeria’s democratic processes. He asserted that the ruling party alone has the numbers to re-elect the president. Uzodinma also praised Tinubu’s approach to politics, calling it exemplary.
While acknowledging the importance of opposition in a democracy, he encouraged other parties to work hard and wait for their turn to produce a president. He expressed confidence that Nigerians are excited about the current political direction under APC leadership.
