The Nigerian entertainment industry is mourning the loss of veteran filmmaker and comedian Okiki Adesina, widely recognized by his stage name Janmole. He passed away following a tragic automobile accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred on Monday, claiming the life of the beloved actor. The news was confirmed by Bolaji Amusan, known as Mr Latin, who is both a filmmaker and the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN). He shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
In his tribute, Mr Latin wrote, “May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace. May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.”
This incident comes nearly four years after Adesina survived a fire accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. His sudden death has left many fans and colleagues in shock and deep sorrow.
