Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has identified ten nations he believes are capable of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The reigning champions begin their title defense on June 16, but Scaloni insists the tournament is wide open.
In an interview with Diario Ole (via MARCA), Scaloni listed Argentina alongside Spain, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Uruguay, Colombia, Croatia, and Morocco as top contenders. “I don’t know if I missed any, but these ten or twelve teams will fight for the final,” he said.
“Spain, France, Portugal, England, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, Morocco… I’m forgetting one, Croatia,” he added.
