In a candid conversation with content creator JBrandy, the ‘Nowo Soke’ hitmaker expressed that artists who manage to succeed without aligning with any gang or clique are exceptionally fortunate.
According to CDQ, the industry has evolved into a system where belonging to a specific caucus or cult is almost a prerequisite for receiving support. He stated, “The music business now feels like a game where you must be part of a certain group before anyone truly assists you.”
He further explained, “If you manage to find success without any cabal or cult backing, you should count your blessings.” The rapper also warned that without such affiliations, artists risk pouring substantial resources into their careers with little to no return.
CDQ concluded by calling on artists, label executives, and all music stakeholders to break the cycle of linking gang activity with the music industry, urging a shift toward a more inclusive and merit-based environment.
