The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the release of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates who sat for the exam are now advised on the proper procedure to access their scores. This follows an announcement by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, on his official X handle on Friday, indicating that results would be made available later that evening.
According to DAILY POST, over 2.2 million prospective students are registered to take the examination across various centers nationwide. The board has provided a straightforward method for candidates to retrieve their results using their mobile phones.
To check your result, simply send an SMS with the text “UTME RESULT” or “UTMERESULT” in capital letters to either 55019 or 66019. It is crucial that the message is sent from the exact phone number you used during your UTME registration—any other number will not work. Additionally, ensure that your line has at least N50 airtime to cover the service fee.
Once the SMS is sent, you will receive your result details via reply. This process is designed to be quick and efficient, allowing candidates to know their performance without delay. For those yet to receive their results, JAMB has promised to release additional batches regularly.
