Onyedika Loses Belgian Ebony Boot Award to El Ouahdi

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has been denied the Ebony Boot award for the top African player in the Belgian Pro League this season. The honor went to Genk’s Moroccan defender Zakaria El Ouahdi, who emerged victorious in the accolade voting.

Last season, the award was claimed by Tolu Arokodare, a former teammate of El Ouahdi at Genk. Onyedika, who has spent half a decade at Club Brugge, is now looking to move on from the Belgian club during the upcoming summer transfer period.

Interest in the Nigerian international has been reported from several clubs, including Turkish giants Galatasaray and German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. Both teams are monitoring his situation closely as he weighs his next career step.
