Shooting Stars forward Lucky Emmanuel believes his brace against Nasarawa United will restore his self-belief as the Nigeria Premier Football League season approaches its conclusion.
Emmanuel found the net twice in Shooting Stars’ 3-2 triumph over Nasarawa United at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday, bringing his season tally to five goals.
“Scoring against Nasarawa United will help me regain my confidence,” Emmanuel told 3SCfanstv. “I hadn’t scored in a while, so this is a big boost for me as we head into the final phase of the campaign.”
He added: “We desperately needed those goals, and I feel honored to have contributed to the team’s success in pursuit of our season goals.”
The striker expressed optimism about adding to his goal count when Shooting Stars host Barau FC in their next fixture in Ibadan. “I am confident I will get on the scoresheet again against Barau FC,” he stated.
