Nollywood star Yvonne Jegede has made an emotional plea for the release of social media personality Justice Crack, whose ongoing detention she describes as increasingly embarrassing. In a video message, the actress and filmmaker acknowledged that Crack made a mistake by meddling in military affairs as a civilian.
We now recognize that his actions were wrong and that civilians should not interfere with military matters, she stated, adding that she speaks on behalf of his family, including his wife and children, as well as his associates. She begged authorities to permit Crack to return to his loved ones, emphasizing that it is both unfair and inhumane to separate a breadwinner from his household during these hard economic times.
Jegede stressed that the situation has become awkward as both sides appear to be flexing muscles, and she urged a compassionate resolution. Her appeal comes amid growing public calls for Crack’s freedom after his arrest over claims about soldiers being poorly fed.
