The Nigerian forward received a yellow card during Saturday’s 4-2 victory against Antalyaspor, his fifth booking of the campaign, triggering an automatic one-match ban. Osimhen will therefore miss the upcoming derby against Kasimpasa at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium next Sunday.
Despite the suspension, Osimhen played a crucial role in securing Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive Süper Lig title. He scored twice in that match, propelling the Yellow and Reds to yet another championship. This marks the second league title Osimhen has won with the Istanbul club since joining.
Now, manager Okan Buruk’s squad aims to end the season on a high note by securing all three points in the season finale. Even without their top scorer, Galatasaray will look to maintain their momentum and celebrate their title win with a strong performance against Kasimpasa.
