Coventry City Completes Permanent Transfer of Frank Onyeka

Coventry City has officially announced the permanent acquisition of Frank Onyeka from Brentford, according to reports. The Nigerian midfielder joined the Sky Blues on a temporary deal during the January transfer window, and the club has now exercised a purchase clause triggered by their promotion to the Premier League.

The transfer fee is set at €8 million, with Frank Lampard’s side securing the services of the defensive midfielder for the long term. Onyeka played a pivotal role in Coventry’s successful campaign, contributing one goal and one assist in 14 Championship appearances.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, as he has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for April. The 28-year-old’s move marks a significant step for both the player and the club as they prepare for life in the top flight.
