Sea King Blasts Sunday Igboho Over Oyo Attacks, Says Silence Isn’t Bravery

Sea King Blasts Sunday Igboho Over Oyo Attacks, Says Silence Isn't Bravery

Nigerian TikTok personality Olumide Ogunsanwo, better known as Sea King, has publicly criticized Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, alias Sunday Igboho, for his silence following recent violent incidents in Oyo State.

In a video posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday, Sea King reacted to the mass kidnapping of students and staff from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, in Oriire Local Government Area, which occurred on May 15, 2026.

DAILY POST previously reported that on May 17, 2026, the kidnappers executed one of the teachers, Michael Oyedokun, and released a video of the beheading along with footage of the school principal pleading with authorities to negotiate for the captives’ release.

Commenting on this tragic event, Sea King questioned Igboho’s lack of response, pointing out that the activist had earlier vowed to eliminate bandits from Yoruba land. He accused Igboho of playing politics rather than acting on his promises.

Sea King stated, “Staying quiet after receiving a presidential pardon does not equal bravery; it is pure politics.” He further challenged Igboho, asking why he has not addressed the escalating violence despite his return to Yorubaland and his earlier pledge to lead a force of 50,000 men against the bandits.

This criticism comes three months after President Bola Tinubu removed Igboho from the federal government’s wanted list. Igboho had recently returned to Nigeria following nearly five years abroad, after the Department of State Services raided his Ibadan home in July 2021, during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, due to his advocacy for a separate Yoruba Nation.

Neville and Carragher Disagree on EPL Player of the Season

In a lively debate on the final Monday Night Football of the campaign, Manchester United icon Gary Neville and Liverpool great Jamie Carragher revealed their choices for the Premier League’s top performer this term.

Neville threw his support behind Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, highlighting the Portuguese midfielder’s remarkable creativity. “I could list several candidates, but Fernandes joining Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry in Premier League assists speaks volumes,” Neville said. “He kept performing despite United struggling for much of the season.”

Carragher, however, opted for Arsenal’s Declan Rice. Despite praising Fernandes, he noted, “Fernandes doesn’t face high-pressure games. I’m picking Rice. His Champions League performances against Atletico Madrid were superb, and he’s been Arsenal’s driving force.”
