Zimbabwe’s national team, the Warriors, have been forced to make adjustments to their roster ahead of the Unity Cup semi-final showdown with Nigeria’s Super Eagles. According to reports, three players have withdrawn from the squad, prompting the inclusion of replacements.
The absentees are Tinotenda Kadewere, Divine Lunga, and Bill Antonio. Kadewere is sidelined due to an injury, while Lunga is unavailable because his club, Mamelodi Sundowns, is preparing for a crucial CAF Champions League final second leg against Morocco’s AS FAR this weekend. Antonio requested to be excused for personal reasons.
Stepping in for the trio are Washington Navaya, Prosper Padera, and Isheanesu Mauchi. The updated squad will now prepare for the highly anticipated clash against the Super Eagles, scheduled for next Tuesday.
