Poland international Jakub Kamiński has sent a clear message to Nigeria’s Super Eagles, stating that his side will be significantly stronger when the two teams meet in Wednesday’s international friendly at the National Stadium in Warsaw. The Wolfsburg winger made these remarks following Poland’s 2-0 loss to Ukraine over the weekend.
In a post-match interview reported by Sportowefakty, Kamiński acknowledged that some players were still adapting to each other on the pitch, which led to a lack of cohesion. “It’s obvious that some of us were playing together for the first time, and it’s normal that sometimes there was a lack of automaticity,” he said. “We still have the match against Nigeria, and we will definitely improve the elements that weren’t working today.”
The Polish team will be eager to bounce back after goals from Roman Yaremchuk and Andriy Yarmolenko secured victory for Ukraine on Sunday. Meanwhile, Nigeria will arrive in Warsaw with a depleted squad due to several key withdrawals. Head coach Eric Chelle will be without Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Femi Azeez, Samson Tijani, Alhassan Yusuf, and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro for the friendly encounter.
Despite these absences, Kamiński emphasized that Poland is focused on rectifying their mistakes and delivering a much-improved performance against the Super Eagles.
