The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration between law enforcement and the public to address rising security challenges. Speaking at the monthly Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) meeting, Ojajuni highlighted that effective policing relies heavily on community support and shared intelligence.
He noted that the state has been grappling with increased incidents of armed robbery, kidnapping, cult-related violence, and other social vices. The commissioner argued that a united front is essential to tackle these threats and ensure public safety.
Ojajuni reaffirmed the command’s dedication to intelligence-driven, proactive, and people-centered policing. He assured that the force will continue to foster stakeholder engagement in line with national reforms aimed at protecting lives and property.
The meeting served as a vital platform for dialogue between police and community leaders, focusing on improved intelligence sharing, better coordination of safety efforts, and building trust in policing operations across Ogun State.

PCRC Chairman Comrade Lawal Abdullahi praised Ojajuni for personally attending the meeting, noting it was the first time a sitting commissioner in the state had done so. Abdullahi described this as a strong demonstration of commitment to community policing and pledged the committee’s continued support for peace and security in the state.
