Key Arsenal Defender Ruled Out for Season Ahead of UCL Final

Arsenal’s plans for the Champions League final have suffered a massive setback. The club has confirmed that Ben White will be unavailable for the remainder of the campaign. The English international picked up what is believed to be a medial cruciate ligament injury during the narrow 1-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday. The Athletic first reported the extent of the damage, raising serious concerns about White’s availability for the summit clash against Paris Saint-Germain scheduled for May 30.

As a result, the defender is also set to miss the upcoming Premier League matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace. Beyond club commitments, White’s participation in the 2026 World Cup with England is now in serious jeopardy. The injury comes at the worst possible time for Mikel Arteta’s side, which will have to reshuffle the defensive lineup for the biggest game of the season. Arsenal fans will be hoping that White’s absence does not derail their chances of lifting the European trophy.
