Xabi Alonso has expressed his delight after officially being unveiled as Chelsea’s new manager. The Spanish tactician, who previously coached Real Madrid, will take the reins at Stamford Bridge starting July 1, 2026, following a four-year contract agreement.

Alonso told the club’s official website that his primary goal is to develop a squad that can compete for silverware. He emphasized the shared vision between himself and the club’s ownership and sporting directors.
