AFCON 2027 Qualifiers Draw: Super Eagles in Pot A

The Nigeria national football team, the Super Eagles, have been allocated a spot in Pot A for the upcoming qualification draw of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. This information was confirmed by DAILY POST.

Scheduled to take place at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters on Tuesday, the draw will feature several of Africa’s football powerhouses in the same tier. Alongside Nigeria, countries such as Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, and Tunisia are also positioned in Pot A.

A total of 48 nations will compete in the qualifying matches for the tournament, which is set to be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The qualification process will see the top two teams from each group earning their place in the final competition.

The tournament itself is slated to run from June 19 to July 17, 2027, promising an exciting showcase of African football talent.
