Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has asserted his authority to handpick his successor, affirming that he will unveil the chosen candidate within seven days. Speaking in Yola to members of the All Progressives Congress, the governor emphasized his commitment to ensuring a capable leader takes over in 2027.

Fintiri stressed that the decision rests solely with him, citing his role as the state’s chief executive.
