Olumide Ajibola, the newly appointed assistant coach of Nigeria’s U-17 national team, has pledged to bring a fresh developmental strategy to the Golden Eaglets. Drawing from his successful tenure at Beyond Limits FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL), Ajibola aims to cultivate young talent for the future.
In a recent statement, Ajibola expressed his commitment to the national team role, emphasizing its significance. He noted that the player-building philosophy he employed at Beyond Limits aligns seamlessly with the objectives of the national setup. “Serving with the U17 national team is a responsibility I do not take lightly,” he said. “The work we do here at Beyond Limits is about building players for the future, and that aligns directly with what the national setup requires.”
Ajibola will collaborate with head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere as they prepare for the WAFU B U17 Boys Championship slated for September. This tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations. The duo is tasked with assembling a formidable squad capable of excelling in the regional competition and beyond.
