He described his romantic journey as challenging, saying that love has subjected him to ‘shege’—a Nigerian slang for hardship or punishment. Despite the difficulties, Kola expressed gratitude for having fallen in love at all, noting that many people never get to experience it. ‘Love has shown me shege. The funny thing is that some people die without ever falling in love. So, the joy is that every time you fall in love, you should be happy that you are in love because not everyone gets to experience it,’ he stated.
Kola’s remarks come after his time in the BBNaija house, where he persistently pursued fellow housemate Dede. However, Dede did not return his feelings, and after the show, she clarified that even without a boyfriend, she would not consider Kola as a partner, explaining that the Canada-based businessman did not fit her ideal type.
