Nigerian content creator and actor Broda Mike has publicly shared his thoughts on the recent traditional marriage between popular TikToker Peller and his partner Jarvis. In a video posted on his Instagram page on Sunday, Broda Mike expressed that while he wishes the couple well, he believes that Peller, only 21 years old, is too young to settle down. He suggested that Peller’s newfound internet fame and financial success have led him to rush into wedlock prematurely.
According to Broda Mike, Peller’s current focus should be on building investments rather than getting married. He argued that the present generation faces significant challenges in sustaining marriages, making it a risky move for someone so young. Using metaphors from business, Broda Mike warned that Peller, like a novice entrepreneur experiencing initial success, may not yet understand the potential pitfalls of marriage. He described Peller as a “small pikin” who has just started a business and is excited about its upward trajectory, but has not faced failure or downturn.
Despite his reservations, Broda Mike offered congratulations to the couple, expressing hope that their union will succeed. He also noted that the age gap between Peller and Jarvis—she is 25—is a factor, but acknowledged that money can often overcome such differences.
