Senegalese-American musician Akon has stirred conversation by stating that his life felt simpler when he was involved with multiple partners. The 53-year-old vocalist shared these thoughts during a recent appearance on The Shade Room.

Known for advocating polygamy, Akon explained that managing a single relationship has proven more demanding than his earlier experiences. He emphasized that his current situation with one woman is considerably harder than juggling several partners.

This confession arrives six months after his wife of 28 years, Tomeka Thiam, initiated divorce proceedings, citing irreconcilable differences. The split occurred just before what would have been their 29th wedding anniversary.

Akon’s remarks have sparked widespread discussion, particularly given his public stance on polygamy and his long marriage now ending. The rapper continues to make headlines for both his music and personal life.

Olakunle Churchill, the former husband of actress Tonto Dikeh, has publicly declared that his relationship with Rosy Meurer was never a legally recognized marriage. Speaking amid swirling rumors of a marital breakdown, Churchill took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to refute claims that Meurer had filed for divorce.

According to Churchill, the so-called divorce documents circulating online are baseless because no formal wedding ceremony ever took place. He emphasized that there was no church wedding or court wedding between them. Instead, he described their union as merely an introduction, which does not necessitate a legal divorce.

Reports had earlier suggested that Meurer initiated divorce proceedings after Churchill reconciled with his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh, who is now an evangelist. However, Churchill dismissed these reports as completely false, questioning the legitimacy of the divorce documents and the competence of Meurer’s legal team.

In his posts, Churchill stated, “The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them. There was no legally recognized marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding.” He further argued that any genuine legal process would require him to be formally served, which he claims never happened.

Churchill also criticized those advising Meurer, suggesting they lack proper experience in media and legal matters. He accused them of operating “under a mango tree without due process” and producing divorce documents within 24 hours, which he called unrealistic. “I’m 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly, alongside legal practitioners who operate under a mango tree without due process and claim to produce divorce documents within 24 hours,” he added.

In recent times, Cubana Chief Priest has been vocal in endorsing the ruling party and the current administration. He also took on the role of Imo State Director for the City Boy Movement, a youth organization that advocates for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection campaign.

Eniola Fagbemi, widely recognized as Sisi Alagbo, has finally spoken out following the unauthorized distribution of a personal video. In a heartfelt Facebook statement posted on Wednesday, the Oyo-based herbal seller took full responsibility for the incident and expressed deep regret.
