I Was a Millionaire Before I Met Him – Paul Okoye’s Wife Sets the Record Straight

I Was a Millionaire Before I Met Him – Paul Okoye's Wife Sets the Record Straight

In a recent video shared on her TikTok account, Ivy Ifeoma, the wife of popular Nigerian musician Paul Okoye (also known as Rudeboy), addressed common misconceptions about marriage and money. She urged single women not to prioritize marrying a wealthy man as their main goal in life.

According to Ivy, while marrying into a rich family can offer certain advantages, a woman’s primary focus should be on building her own financial independence. She emphasized that true security comes from personal wealth, not from a partner’s fortune.

Ivy also tackled rumors suggesting she married Rudeboy for his money, especially given their significant age difference. She firmly stated, “Before I met this man, I was already a millionaire. Marrying a rich man should never be anyone’s ultimate ambition. At the end of the day, it’s his money, not yours.”

She went on to explain that wealth is merely a bonus in a relationship and that affluent individuals are typically drawn to ambitious, hardworking partners. Her advice to single ladies was clear: invest in yourself and build your own wealth. “Don’t get me wrong, marrying rich is a nice addition because it can open doors, but I advise you as a woman to get rich yourself,” she added.

Real Madrid’s Right-Back Shortlist: Dumfries and Porro Lead After Carvajal’s Exit

Real Madrid's Right-Back Shortlist: Dumfries and Porro Lead After Carvajal's Exit

Real Madrid are actively searching for a new right-back following Dani Carvajal’s departure at the end of the season. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish giants have narrowed down their targets to two standout options: Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries and Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro.

The La Liga side is eager to strengthen its defensive line after a disappointing 2025/26 campaign that saw them fail to secure any major silverware. Carvajal’s exit has left a void at right-back, and the club is determined to fill it with a quality addition this summer.

In addition to Dumfries and Porro, Real Madrid have also been monitoring Sporting CP’s Iván Fresneda, who has been scouted recently. However, Dumfries and Porro remain the primary targets as the club looks to rebuild under a new manager, with Jose Mourinho reportedly close to taking over after Xabi Alonso’s dismissal.

The Los Blancos are keen to bounce back next season and see the right-back position as a key area for reinforcement. With the transfer window approaching, fans can expect further developments as Real Madrid aim to secure one of their top targets.

Eric Chelle’s Blend of NPFL and Overseas Talent Seizes Unity Cup Victory

Eric Chelle's Blend of NPFL and Overseas Talent Seizes Unity Cup Victory

The 2026 Unity Cup reached a thrilling conclusion over the weekend, with Nigeria emerging as triumphant champions after a decisive 3-0 victory over Jamaica in the final held at The Valley in London.

As the reigning champions, the Super Eagles entered the four-nation tournament as strong favorites. They secured their place in the final by defeating Zimbabwe 2-0 in the semifinal, while Jamaica advanced by overcoming India in the other semifinal match.

Millwall winger Femi Azeez netted both goals for Nigeria against Zimbabwe, paving the way for the final. In the championship match, Alhassan Yusuf scored twice and Terem Moffi added another to secure the trophy for the West African side.

Head coach Eric Chelle made only one alteration to the starting lineup that beat Zimbabwe, bringing in Rafiu Durosinmi from Pisa Sporting in place of Hamburger’s Philip Otele. Chelle’s squad dominated the final, keeping two clean sheets across both tournament matches.

Notably, Chelle achieved this success without key players such as Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Wilfried Ndidi, and Paul Onuachu. Instead, he blended local talents from the Nigeria Premier Professional League (NPFL), including Enugu Rangers duo Chibueze Oputa and Kenneth Igboke, with overseas-based stars.

Eagle Stars FC coach Isma’il Musa praised the performance of three debutants who impressed during the tournament. Speaking to DAILY POST, Musa highlighted the contributions of Enugu Rangers’ Chibueze Oputa, Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, and Millwall’s Femi Azeez. “These three players did well in their debuts under Chelle,” Musa remarked.

Musa also commended Chelle’s tactical approach, noting his ability to blend NPFL and foreign players effectively despite limited preparation time. “Chelle’s identity showed during both matches, especially the Zimbabwe game, as he loves his players to keep the ball and express themselves,” Musa added.

Looking ahead, Nigeria is set to face Poland in an international friendly at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw. Azeez has been called up to replace Samuel Chukwueze, while Osimhen and Lookman have withdrawn. Midfielders Alhassan Yusuf and Samson Tijani will miss the match due to visa issues, meaning Chelle will likely rely on many of the players who featured in the Unity Cup.

“Based on what I saw at the Unity Cup, I believe the boys will do well against Poland,” Musa concluded.

Richards urges Arsenal: Sign Alvarez to unlock new dimension

Richards urges Arsenal: Sign Alvarez to unlock new dimension

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has advised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to bring Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez to the Emirates, following the Gunners’ failure to clinch the UEFA Champions League this season.

Speaking on the The Rest Is Football podcast, Richards emphasized that Arsenal need an additional forward to strengthen their attacking lineup for the upcoming campaign.

Although Arsenal already have Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres, Richards believes adding Alvarez would offer a different dynamic to the team’s offense.

“I feel they require another striker. Kai Havertz possesses remarkable technical skills, and Viktor Gyokeres has performed well in his debut season,” Richards stated.

“However, if they could secure someone like Julian Alvarez, it would bring a fresh element to Arsenal’s attack. He ranks among the world’s elite strikers as the World Cup approaches, and he has already claimed one of those with Argentina.”

Harry Kane Reveals Top Two Contenders for 2026 Ballon d’Or

Harry Kane Reveals Top Two Contenders for 2026 Ballon d'Or

Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has confidently placed himself and club teammate Michael Olise among the leading candidates for the 2026 Ballon d’Or. The England captain believes that if the Three Lions triumph at the upcoming World Cup in North America, an English player—possibly himself—could secure the prestigious individual honor.

Speaking about his chances, Kane stated, ‘I see myself as a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or. With England winning the World Cup, it would be hard to deny an English player the award.’ He also acknowledged the competition posed by Paris Saint-Germain, who recently defended their Champions League title. ‘You have myself, Olise, and the players from the Champions League final. It’s a tough field,’ he added.

Kane also noted that the award ceremony will take place in London, which he considers a positive sign. ‘Winning it in my hometown would be incredibly special. Maybe it’s a good omen,’ he remarked. The striker’s comments come after a standout season for both club and country, positioning him as a frontrunner for football’s most coveted individual prize.

Millwall Withholds Femi Azeez from Nigeria’s International Friendlies

Millwall Withholds Femi Azeez from Nigeria's International Friendlies

Femi Azeez has been blocked by Millwall from joining the Super Eagles for their upcoming international exhibition matches against Poland and Portugal, according to sources. The Championship club’s decision comes amid intense transfer speculation surrounding the former Watford player.

The winger, who was initially summoned as a substitute for Samuel Chukwueze, impressed during the Unity Cup invitational tournament. On his debut for Nigeria, he delivered a standout performance, scoring two goals against Zimbabwe’s Warriors.

Millwall’s move is believed to be linked to a high-profile transfer involving the 24-year-old. The Lions recently turned down a €20 million bid from Ipswich Town, a newly promoted Premier League side. Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion have also expressed interest in acquiring his services.
