In response to a disappointing season in the Nigeria National League, the Oyo State Government has taken decisive action against Crown FC. The entire technical crew and management team have been handed an indefinite suspension.
The state’s Ministry of Youth and Sports made the announcement public today, confirming that the suspension goes into effect immediately. This move comes after the team, also known as the Ajilete Warriors, struggled throughout the previous season, barely retaining their NNL status on the final matchday.
According to the official statement, the ministry will reveal further plans regarding the club’s future in due course. The team finished seventh in Conference B standings with 16 points from 16 games, a performance deemed unacceptable by the state authorities.
