Renowned socialite Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has officially signaled his ambition to vie for a position in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This announcement came through a video that surfaced online following his visit to the APC secretariat located in Imo State.
In the footage, he expressed his desire to serve as the representative for the Orsu, Orlu, and Oru East Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2027 elections. During his address to party officials, he emphasized his commitment to the constituency’s development.
He further revealed in his accompanying message that he had shared his political aspirations with party leaders, who reportedly gave him assurances of their backing. “My visit was to congratulate and uplift our party leaders while also presenting my modest aspiration to serve my people in the lower legislative chamber,” he stated. “I place everything in God’s hands; may His will prevail.”
A party leader present at the secretariat commended Cubana Chief Priest, highlighting his diverse talents across business, motivational speaking, and politics. “I can’t pin you down as just a businessman, motivator, or politician because you excel in all these arenas,” the official remarked, pledging the party’s support for his political journey.
In recent times, Cubana Chief Priest has been vocal in endorsing the ruling party and the current administration. He also took on the role of Imo State Director for the City Boy Movement, a youth organization that advocates for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection campaign.
