Gabriel Martinelli Urged to Consider Arsenal Exit After Potential Premier League Triumph

Former Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre has sparked debate by suggesting that forward Gabriel Martinelli should contemplate leaving the Gunners if Mikel Arteta’s side secures the Premier League title this season. Silvestre believes that a successful campaign could be the perfect moment for the Brazilian to seek new challenges.

In an interview with Metro UK via Betpack, Silvestre pointed out that competition for places, particularly from Leandro Trossard, has limited Martinelli’s playing time. “Gabriel Martinelli might be the one who wants to trigger a transfer because of game-time,” Silvestre remarked. “He wants to play, and Trossard gets more opportunities.”

Silvestre elaborated that leaving Arsenal after winning the league would be well-timed for Martinelli, provided he finds the right club. Arsenal currently lead the title race, needing victories in their final two matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace to clinch the championship. Silvestre’s comments highlight the fine line between team success and individual ambition, as Martinelli may seek a more prominent role elsewhere.
