Galatasaray president reveals stance on Victor Osimhen sale

In a recent revelation, Turkish journalist Levent Tüzemen shared insights from a conversation with Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek regarding the future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The discussion took place amid growing speculation about the forward’s next move in the upcoming transfer window.

Osimhen enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Istanbul-based club, netting 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His impressive form has drawn interest from top European sides such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

According to Tüzemen, when he questioned Özbek about Osimhen’s availability, the club chief was unequivocal. ‘I asked Dursun Özbek about Osimhen; he responded, ‘Regardless of the offers we receive, I will not sell him. Our goal is to secure our 27th championship,” Tüzemen stated on the Libero TV YouTube channel, as reported by habersarikirmizi.

The president also outlined the team’s ambitions. ‘They expressed their ambition to reach the top 8 in Europe, or even the semi-finals. The team will be structured accordingly,’ Tüzemen added.

Osimhen, who signed a permanent contract with Galatasaray last summer, is committed to the club until the end of the 2028-29 season. This long-term deal underscores the club’s determination to retain their star player as they build for future success.
