The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has thrown its full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, endorsing him as the party’s presidential flagbearer for the upcoming election. The decision was reached during a statewide affirmation exercise conducted across all 255 political wards in the state’s 23 local government areas. Party faithful and stakeholders turned out in large numbers to demonstrate their support for the President’s re-election.
The exercise, which took place on Saturday, was closely monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and designated party representatives to ensure strict adherence to electoral guidelines. Members from the Southern Kaduna, Central, and Northern Senatorial Districts all participated, showcasing a unified front in backing President Tinubu for another four-year term.
Governor Senator Uba Sani personally observed the process in several parts of the state. He praised party leaders, stakeholders, and members for their impressive turnout and orderly conduct throughout the affirmation exercise. The Governor described the event as a powerful demonstration of unity, loyalty, and confidence in the APC’s leadership and President Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria.
“Today’s overwhelming affirmation across the 255 wards in Kaduna State is a clear reflection of the confidence our party members and the people have in the leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Governor Sani stated. He emphasized that the unity, discipline, and massive turnout underscore the APC’s strength and preparedness for the 2027 general elections. The Governor urged party members to remain steadfast, united, and focused on strengthening the party’s structures and mobilization efforts moving forward.
The exercise concluded peacefully with enthusiastic participation from members, reflecting renewed internal cohesion and a shared commitment to sustaining the APC’s leadership at the national level. Meanwhile, collation of results is underway across all voting areas, with designated local government officers compiling returns. The final consolidated result will be presented to Governor Uba Sani, who serves as the Kaduna State Coordinator and Chief Collation Officer, before being formally submitted to the APC Presidential Primary Committee in Abuja on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
