Lee Dixon Advises Arteta: Start Lewis-Skelly in Midfield vs PSG

Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon has voiced his opinion on who should take the central midfield role in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking to The Athletic, Dixon suggested that manager Mikel Arteta should give the nod to young talent Myles Lewis-Skelly over Martin Zubimendi.

Dixon was impressed by Lewis-Skelly’s recent performances, describing him as ‘brilliant’. He acknowledged the difficulty of the decision but firmly backed the 19-year-old to handle the pressure of a final. ‘It’s a big call, but I’d probably play Myles. He’s already shown enough not to be fazed by that,’ Dixon stated.

The Arsenal legend’s recommendation comes as Arteta weighs his options for the highly anticipated clash against the defending champions. It remains to be seen whether the Spanish boss will opt for Lewis-Skelly or keep Zubimendi on the bench once again.
