In a recent television interview, Seriake Dickson, the National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), firmly refuted claims of internal turmoil within the party. Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time program, Dickson emphasized that the NDC remains unified and free from any crisis.
Dickson highlighted the strong backing he has received from prominent political figures, including former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso. He noted that their confidence in his leadership has been instrumental in bringing them into the NDC fold.
According to Dickson, the surge in interest from Nigerians seeking to contest elections under the NDC banner is a sign of growth, not discord. He stated, “The number of aspirants we are seeing is evidence of the trust Nigerians have in us, not a crisis. We are focused on building a strong platform for the 2027 elections.”
The NDC leader also stressed the party’s commitment to providing a credible alternative for voters, dismissing any speculation of internal divisions. He reiterated that the NDC is united and working tirelessly to prepare for future electoral contests.
