Nigerian striker David Temidayo Olorunfemi has officially penned a two-year contract with Finnish powerhouse HJK, with an option for an additional year. The 18-year-old arrives from Tripple 44 Football Academy in Nigeria, beating out competition from clubs in Sweden and Denmark to secure his signature.
The young forward traveled to Helsinki last weekend to familiarize himself with his new surroundings before finalizing the agreement. Expressing his enthusiasm, Olorunfemi stated, “It’s fantastic to be here; this represents a huge chance for me. Pursuing domestic triumphs and European football is exactly the challenge I’ve been seeking. I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success.”
HJK, known for their consistent presence in European competitions, sees Olorunfemi as a valuable addition to their attacking options. The club’s management believes his pace and technical ability will bolster their squad as they aim for domestic glory and a strong run in continental tournaments.
