Suleiman Umar, the chairman of Doma United, has encouraged the club’s newly invited players to showcase their skills during the current trials. He promised that every participant would be judged purely on talent and that no player would face bias due to their background.
Umar emphasized that the selection process would be strictly merit-based, stating, “We will pick anyone who demonstrates ability, dedication, and hard work.” His remarks came during an address to the trialists at the start of the screening event.
The tryouts kicked off on Friday, June 19, at Pantami Stadium in Gombe. These exercises are part of the club’s broader strategy to build a robust squad for the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Doma United, also known as the Savannah Tigers, recently secured promotion back to the top flight. The club is now focused on assembling a team capable of achieving its ambitious goals in the NPFL.
