Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique was full of praise for Arsenal after his side retained the UEFA Champions League trophy in a dramatic penalty shootout. The final ended 1-1 after extra time, with PSG emerging victorious 4-2 on penalties.
Ousmane Dembele’s spot-kick canceled out Kai Havertz’s early goal for the Gunners. In the shootout, Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhaes missed for Arsenal, while PSG converted all their attempts to secure back-to-back titles.
Enrique described the victory as the highlight of the season, stating: “This is the best moment of the season. We are still champions, two in a row, it’s amazing. We deserved that. Our supporters, during the whole season, we deserve to be in the final.”
The Spanish tactician also acknowledged the quality of the opposition, saying: “It was very tough and difficult. Congratulations to Arsenal, it was very tough. They played great.”
