Real Madrid’s top official, Florentino Perez, has made it clear that he will not obstruct Vinicius Junior’s departure should the Brazilian decide to seek a new challenge. The winger’s position at the Santiago Bernabeu remains in question as discussions regarding a fresh deal continue without resolution.
In a conversation with El Pais, Perez addressed the swirling rumors regarding the 25-year-old attacker. He stated that there is ample time to finalize a contract extension and expressed a deep desire for Vinicius to remain with the club indefinitely. Perez emphasized that the player is strongly committed to the institution, adding that only those who do not support Real Madrid hold negative opinions about him.
The president further asserted that if Vinicius Jr wishes to leave and sign with another team, he will be permitted to do so without any pressure. He underscored that financial considerations have never been the primary factor in such decisions, reiterating that the club will not force anyone to stay against their will.
