Warri Wolves have announced their ambition to make a significant mark in the upcoming President Federation Cup, as they prepare for their first match in the competition. The team, known as the Seasiders, will face Stormers SC in the Round of 64 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Wednesday.
Last season, Warri Wolves saw their campaign end in the Round of 16, a result they are determined to improve upon this year. The club’s media platform stated, “The Seasiders will be aiming to make a strong statement in this year’s competition as they continue their pursuit of a maiden President Federation Cup title.” The statement also highlighted that their best performance in the tournament was a quarterfinal appearance in 2016.
For the club, success in the President Federation Cup would not only bring silverware but also a chance to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, adding extra motivation to their campaign.
