Onuche Ogbelu Joins Libyan Side Al-Ittihad on Permanent Deal

Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu has officially signed with Libyan club Al-Ittihad SC on a permanent transfer, as reported by DAILY POST. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder committed to a three-year contract after leaving Tunisian side Esperance, following the expiration of his previous deal.

Ogbelu initially moved to Esperance from Nigeria Premier Football League outfit Nasarawa United back in 2023. During his time with the Tunisian club, he made 54 league appearances and found the back of the net twice.

The midfielder also represented Nigeria at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations held in Egypt, where the Flying Eagles secured a third-place finish. Following that tournament, he was among a select group of four players chosen to train with the senior national team, the Super Eagles.
