The 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season has concluded with Edo Queens being crowned champions for the second time. Manager Moses Aduku led his squad to the title following a goalless stalemate against Bayelsa Queens in the final fixture of the NWFL playoffs, which took place in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
With ten points accumulated from five matches, the Benin City outfit topped the standings. This marks the club’s second NWFL crown, a significant achievement for the team and their supporters.
Bayelsa Queens finished as runners-up with eight points, while Nasarawa Amazons saw their title hopes dashed after drawing 0-0 with Rivers Angels, missing out on a chance to leapfrog the leaders.
Edo Queens’ triumph highlights their consistency and determination throughout the playoffs, securing their place as champions of Nigerian women’s football for the 2025/26 season.
