‘When it comes to decisive moments, Jude Bellingham is the man,’ Richards said. ‘He’s won the Champions League with Real Madrid, and whenever England needed someone to step up in previous tournaments, he delivered. I understand the argument for Morgan Rogers—he’s had a fantastic season at Aston Villa, helping them qualify for the Champions League and win the Europa League. But as the main No. 10, there’s no question for me—it has to be Jude Bellingham.’
Bellingham, 22, has faced some challenges with form and fitness recently, scoring only six league goals last season—his lowest tally since 2021-22. However, he showed signs of returning to his best in England’s final World Cup warm-up match against Costa Rica.
