Paul Onuachu showcased his prolific form by netting twice to secure a 2-1 victory for Trabzonspor over Konyaspor in the Turkish Cup final on Friday evening. This triumph marked the 10th time the club has claimed the prestigious trophy.
The Nigerian striker, who ended the 2025/26 Super Lig season as joint top scorer, broke the deadlock in the 18th minute. Right-back Wagne Pina provided the assist for the opening goal.
Konyaspor leveled the match five minutes into the second half through Democratic Republic of Congo striker Jackson Muleka. However, their hopes of taking the lead were dashed when Enis Bardhi missed a penalty just before the hour mark.
Onuachu emerged as the hero once again, converting from the penalty spot with 11 minutes remaining to seal the win. His international teammate Chibuike Nwaiwu also featured for Trabzonspor during the game.
